Before you set sail on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, one thing you should consider is your health and safety.

With thousands of people on one boat, cruises are a prime place to catch illnesses. To prep for cruises, we often like to pack medication, bring some basic cleaning supplies (like sanitizing wipes), and do everything we can to avoid getting sick (wash those hands, people!). But did you know that Disney Cruise Line ships are some of the highest rated for health and safety by the CDC?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) perform routine inspections on cruise ships in the United States to make sure that they’re safe for passengers. The ships are scored based on legal requirements for health standards, food safety standards, and passenger safety standards. The top score you can get is 100.

The reports are visible to the public on the CDC website, so you can check them before you choose a cruise ship or cruise line. When pulling the reports for Disney Cruise Line, it shows that all the U.S. ships (meaning, not including the Disney Adventure, which is based in Singapore) have scored at least a 95 on their most recent inspection.

Here are the scores as they currently stand:
- Disney Destiny inspected on December 11th, 2025 — scored 96
- Disney Dream inspected on July 24th, 2025 — scored 95
- Disney Fantasy inspected on November 10th, 2024 — scored 98
- Disney Magic inspected on October 16th, 2025 — scored 98
- Disney Treasure inspected on August 9th, 2025 — scored 96
- Disney Wish inspected on October 17th, 2025 — scored 99
- Disney Wonder inspected on July 11th, 2025 — scored 97

If you’d like to see the specific violations for each report that caused the scores to fall below 100, you can check the CDC’s website, where all of that information is listed. The CDC also offers a listing of all the cruise ships that have scored a perfect 100 in the last 12 months. The Disney Wish is the only Disney Cruise Line ship that has achieved this, during its inspection on April 18th, 2025.

So if you’re setting sail on Disney Cruise Line, it seems that you can rest easy that your safety is of the utmost priority. Disney claims to be a company that values guest safety, but it’s nice to see those claims verified in cold, hard data.
