4 Tips You Need to Know Before Boarding Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship

It’s happening, it’s officially happening! The maiden voyage for Disney’s newest cruise ship, the Disney Adventure, is finally here! We’ve been talking about this new ship to the Disney Cruise Line for what seems to be forever, and now we get to check it out.

The Disney Adventure sets sail from Singapore and cruises through Southeast Asia on 3 and 4-night voyages. You’re not going to believe it, but we are here, and we are ready to board the Disney Adventure. As excited as we are to get on the ship, we have to talk about the cruise port here in Singapore. Buckle up, we have lots of pics and tips to share with you!

The Disney Adventure has seven themed areas featuring Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories. It’s a cruise that focuses on the stories of heroes and villains. In fact, Robert Downey Jr., aka Iron Man, is the godfather of this cruise.

You seriously just need to take a moment and look at this cruise! It’s basically a theme park in the water; There are even roller coasters!

As soon as we got to Marina Bay Cruise Center, we noticed just how big the place is. It’s massive!

Something that really stood out to us was this long security line. You’ll need to pack your patience along with your cruise essentials!

Make sure that with your Port arrival form, you have a copy that you can quickly access, downloaded or printed, because the service and Wi-Fi are slow, and they need your arrival form that actually says the boarding time. They are not scanning in most of the checkpoints until you get up to the front. Emma had the form saved in her Apple wallet, which is what we always do, but it didn’t have the time in a visual format they would have had to scan, so we had to try to get it pulled up for over an hour so that we could get led into the line on time.

How you arrive for the cruise will change how you’re going to get your luggage tags. You can see the exact details for this online, but they will not come to you in the mail. If you are taking ground transportation from the airport, you get it there. Otherwise, they will print it for you when you get to the cruise terminal, and attaching it to your bags is the first thing that happens when we get out of the car.

You may also want to be aware that certain things can’t go with bags. Quincy’s water bottle was in an outside pocket, and security made her take it onto the cruise, not in checked luggage. Emma’s travel neck pillow was attached to the outside of her bag, not inside of it, and security brought it over because we have to take that as well. Neither of those things has been an issue when we’ve cruised out of the US.
