REVIEW: There Is a Cucumber on This Disney Hot Dog and You WON’T Want To Pick It Off

We’re at Disneyland Paris for the opening of Disney’s newest theme park, Disney Adventure World! The park is inspired by the adventures of some of our favorite Disney characters, including Frozen, The Lion King, Pixar, and Marvel!

We grabbed dinner in the Adventure Way section of the park, which has 14 brand-new restaurants! We chose the all-new Café Luminosity that serves four kinds of hot dogs. Now let’s dig in!

Café Luminosity has an original hot dog with four recipes!  We tried The Cucumber for 11,5€. It’s a turkey sausage hot dog with a tomato-onion-coriander mixture, cucumber pickles, and relish sauce on curry-onion bread.

We thought we were going to love this. We bit into the bun, which had an interesting spicy curry flavor, but the texture was crunchy and stale. The turkey dog itself was pretty bland and mild. We thought the cucumbers would add a nice crunch, but they were soft and floppy. They had a refreshing, slight sweetness along the lines of an asian cucumber salad, but considering these are the main event of the hot dog, we were unimpressed.

The tomato, coriander, and onion mixture was like a bland pico de gallo. We mostly tasted the onion, but it had a nice crunch. The relish sauce did have a slight sweetness that could have been interesting, but there wasn’t enough relish to pack a punch and add to the overall flavor profile. The Cucumber had all the elements of being good, but unfortunately missed the mark.
