Construction is a constant at Disney World in 2026, with massive projects going on across the resort, especially at the Magic Kingdom.

Disney World’s first theme park is currently home to the construction of the Cars-themed Piston Peak in Frontierland, prep-work for Villains Land “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain”, and the near-complete refurbishments of the aforementioned Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland. All of that construction has made certain areas of the park difficult to navigate due to a mess of construction walls. Unless you take a few shortcuts, that is.
Let’s begin on the Adventureland/Frontierland portion of the park. Given that the construction of Piston Peak and Villains Land construction zone dominates much of the Western part of Frontierland, and creates a bottleneck at the point near Pirates of the Caribbean transitions into Frontierland, it’s arguably best to try and sidestep that portion of the land entirely.

Instead, we’d suggest using the breezeways that connect the eastern portion of Frontierland to Adventureland to reach the desired attractions in the latter land.
For example, to reach the Jungle Cruise, one can slide through the breezeway near the Country Bear Jamboree and around the Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

On the other side of the park, the construction can actually be a benefit. If you enter Tomorrowland on the right-hand side, where Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin usually operates, there’s hardly any traffic given the ride’s current closure. In addition, the character meet and greet in the area may have a shorter line due to its obstruction by construction walls. Bear in mind, of course, that this shortcut will cease to exist when Space Ranger Spin reopens on April 8th.

Meanwhile, over in Hollywood Studios, construction is ongoing on the new Monsters, Inc. Land in the area of the park that was once known as Muppet Courtyard. Said construction has made the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge near Rise of the Resistance a bit of a chokepoint. It may be wiser instead to cut through Toy Story Land and enter Galaxy’s Edge through the land’s other entrance, near the Droid Depot.

If you find yourself befuddled by Walt Disney World’s maze of construction walls, be sure to try out some of these shortcuts to make maneuvering around the parks a bit easier. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney tips.
