Every time we think we’ll get a minor break from the construction updates in Disney World, we’re proven wrong.

Recently, Crew’s Cup Lounge just closed for a refurbishment at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and an entire section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom has closed for a lengthy refurbishment as well. Now, there are two MORE permits that have been filed in Disney World.
The first permit is over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which has seen lots of construction in the recent past, and the listing on the Disney World website states it’ll be ongoing through May 2026. This new permit lists that the company Colwill Engineering Electrical Co. will do Electrical Work at the hotel, but that’s the only bit of information we have. It’s unclear where in the resort it will be, but it’s possible it could be around the front entrance roadway and bus area, where lots of the current construction have been taking place.

As for the second permit, it takes us over to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but more specifically, BEHIND the attraction. It’s to be performed by DPR Construction and is just for General Construction, which could be practically anything.

It’s very possible that, as this attraction is relatively close to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, as well as the new Villains Land going behind the ride, this permit is really for construction for the new land. There’s no way to know for sure, but we’ll be sure to keep a close eye on the ride itself, and perhaps even hop on it in the coming weeks to see if we can spot any changes happening behind the attraction.
