REVIEW: EPCOT Just Dropped a New $4 Cookie and It’s Every Chocolate Lover’s DREAM

EPCOT has a new cookie! Lately, Sunshine Seasons has been making Crumbl-style frosted cookies, and we’re trying every single one.

Gianduja Chocolate Cookie

We love their cookies, especially the Peanut Butter Cookie from last year’s Festival of the Holidays. When a chocolate cookie came out this week, we had to try it!

The Gianduja Chocolate Cookie is $4.79 at Sunshine Seasons. It’s a chocolate cookie with a layer of Gianduja chocolate cream, which is an Italian blend of hazelnut paste and chocolate. Then it’s topped with a chocolate frosting and mini chocolate chips.

Gianduja Chocolate Cookie

The cookie itself was very soft and dense with chocolate chunks mixed in. The chocolate buttercream frosting was very light and airy.

The chocolate hazelnut layer itself was good, but there wasn’t enough filling, and the hazelnut flavor wasn’t as strong as we would’ve liked. Combined with the chocolate overload of the other elements, there wasn’t much of a hazelnut taste in the cookie at all. It’s more of a hint of hazelnut compared to something like Nutella, with an even mix of both.

Gianduja Chocolate Cookie

We’d recommend this cookie to chocolate lovers, but not chocolate hazelnut purists. The chocolate hazelnut layer was uneven in some bites, so the hazelnut shouldn’t be a deciding factor.

Sunshine Seasons

The Gianduja Chocolate Cookie is available at Sunshine Seasons. The restaurant is on the lower level of The Land Pavilion at EPCOT. Have you eaten there recently? If so, leave a review right here!
