  1. We just came back from our January trip where we utilized the dining plan, mostly because the rest of our party wanted to plan for expenses. Even though it enabled us to order most things from any menu, one thing we didn’t really consider was tips, which are based on the cost of the meal you ordered and which you are just handed a bill for at the end of the meal.

    We had a party of 6 adults, 4 kids for 7 days. Our tips totaled over $1k for the week. I would have rather had fewer table service and maybe cheaper meals and save a few hundred. Just something to consider when doing the math.
