NEW Documents Reveal Cars and Villains Land Buildings for Magic Kingdom Expansion

We may have just gotten more details about the newest expansions at Magic Kingdom!

A new filing with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) gives us some insight into what could be coming for the Cars expansion, Piston Peak National Park, and the Villains expansion in Magic Kingdom!

The filing included documents showing the potential physical footprint of these new areas in Magic Kingdom. The maps outline several structures outlined in black marked as “FACLITY” connected by utility lines in green that connect to the facility structures via POC (point of connection). These maps give us a hint at where the two areas will be located and what type of structures might be included in the construction.

The facility buildings are all connected via utility lines that are marked as either “12”S” or”6″S” with a note that the lines will connect to “(WDW 12″S)(MH#18) DIVERSION”. Based on these documents, it looks like Disney is currently planning to build at least 7 facility buildings to support these new expansions. We also get a look at where some of the main buildings in these expansions are likely to be located in Magic Kingdom.

Piston Peak National Park is the Cars expansion in Magic Kingdom, replacing the old Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island. Piston Peak National Park is heavily influenced by the National Parks and is a place to celebrate the American wilderness. Disney has announced two attractions for this area: one will be a rally race-type attraction, while the other will be a family ride.

Disney hasn’t announced much about the Villains land coming to Magic Kingdom yet, except that it is coming. We have gotten a peek at some concept art of the new area, but no specifics have been announced.
