Something just disappeared at Disney World…and they didn’t even warn us!

We recently went to Magic Kingdom, and to our surprise, a unique souvenir experience has closed. Not only is it closed, but it’s completely gone!
If you’ve ever ridden Space Mountain, you’ve walked through Tomorrowland Launch Depot. It’s a store filled with Tomorrowland merchandise that you enter when leaving the popular attraction. Then, when Tron Lightcycle/Run opened, the store got a bunch of new Tron merchandise, including a Tron souvenir experience!

We went to talk with a Cast Member to see what was going on, and we were told that D-Tech has been moved permanently. With that, they told us the TRON program is closed permanently. All of the little figures that used to be out by the Identity Program are also gone.

Cast Members didn’t know if anything would be replacing the experience or what was going to happen, for that matter. We’ll have to patiently wait to see if Disney drops any news on future plans they have for Tomorrowland Depot.

This is where D-Tech used to be, where you could print on-demand items like phone cases and magnets. We just saw this close over at the Market Place Co-Op in Disney Springs, too.
