Something Strange Is Happening at This Disney World Restaurant

There are changes happening all over Disney World, and it’s hard to keep track of everything sometimes. There are new lands, new rides, and new hotel updates happening, but we discovered another change that will impact an EPCOT restaurant.

Coral Reef

So here’s the thing: If you’ve been trying to get reservations for lunch or the entire month of December at Coral Reef Restaurant, you may have noticed that reservations aren’t available. So what’s going on? Well, we’ll tell you what we’ve noticed so far.

If you search for reservations at Coral Reef Restaurant, you may have trouble finding reservations. Currently, the Coral Reef page on the Disney World website is listing lunch from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM and dinner from 3:45 PM to 8:30 PM.  However, if you’re searching for lunch reservations on or after January 4th, none seem to be available.

More interesting, though, is that when we looked at reservations for the month of December, nothing seemed to be available for the entire month, as well as on November 30th. Now, the website is still showing hours for the restaurant in December, and we doubt it’s so popular that every single day of the month would be out of reservations, so does this mean the restaurant might be closing for a refurbishment or something?

Disney has not confirmed a closure or if the restaurant will be ending lunch service, so we only know what the website is telling us at this point. But if you were making plans to make reservations at Coral Reef, either for lunch in January or for the month of December, you may not be able to do so.

For all we know, this could be some kind of website bug or glitch, too, so you will want to keep checking…just in case. We’ll also see if we can’t get more details on what’s going on, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.

  1. That’s what Biergarten was looking like for me last month. I was trying to book for five. I changed it to six and everything became available. (Then I went into the app and changed the number of people to five and received confirmation.)
