Don’t Forget About This EXCLUSIVE Disney World Parade Happening This Week

It is OFFICIALLY Halloween week, and we could not be more stoked, especially because there’s something VERY exciting coming to one particular Disney World hotel on October 30th.

Fort Wilderness Halloween Golf Cart Parade

Yes, you read that right — October 30th, the day BEFORE Halloween, there’s something super epic happening over at ONE Disney World hotel — the Fort Wilderness Halloween. There’s only one problem, though — you have to be staying at the hotel to check it out!

Over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounda guest-led Halloween Golf Cart Parade has been taking place for the past 13 years, and it’s massively popular. Not only to participate in, but also to watch!

This year’s parade takes place on October 30th, right around 4 PM, and will begin at the hitching area right by the front entrance and follow the longer (straighter) stretch of road through the Meadow section. Once it reaches there, it’ll pass by the judges’ table (made up of Cast Members), who will narrow down the hundreds of submissions to just six finalists. Guests at the hotel vote on those finalists, and then only one is crowned the winner!

It’s a giant AT-AT!

We’ve seen some INCREDIBLE golf carts decorated each year, and expect nothing different this time around. Everyone puts so much time and effort into their designs, it’s incredible to see! However, there’s a catch — not only do you have to be staying at Fort Wilderness Resort to participate in this parade, but you also have to be staying at the hotel to WATCH it as well.

It’s the Fort Wilderness Railroad!

We know, we know, it’s unfortunate, but that just goes to show how popular this event is, and we love that! Now, if you aren’t staying at the hotel but still want some Halloween fun, you can head into Magic Kingdom to check out all the Halloween decor, and you can also check out the Halloween decorations guests put up around their campsites at Fort Wilderness! We’ve also seen other Disney World hotel guests add Halloween decorations to the windows of other hotels.
