A Popular Disneyland Ride Is About to CLOSE for Two Weeks

While Halloween is just a few days away, Disneyland is already thinking ahead to the holiday season (and honestly? Same.).

Currently, you’ll find fall and spooky decor all over Disneyland Resort as they prepare for the holiday just a few days away, but starting November 14th, the holidays will officially take over (though it’s very likely we’ll see holiday decorations begin to pop up before then)! As part of the holiday transformation, this is your reminder that a popular ride will be CLOSED in the park beginning on October 30th.

“it’s a small world” first debuted to the world at the 1964 World’s Fair, and it’s been an iconic Disneyland ride ever since. Beginning in 1997, the ride began transforming to “it’s a small world” Holiday for each year’s Christmas season. Not only does the overlay give a new jolly look to the exterior of the ride, but inside, it includes “Jingle Bells” and a bridge of “Deck the Halls” intermixed with the ride’s main theme, and you’ll see holiday decorations and symbols inside the ride from all over the world! These details are added to the attraction, and there’s even a projection show on the ride’s facade.

This year, the current version of the attraction, the original “it’s a small world” will close on October 30th to make way for the “it’s a small world” Holiday overlay, and according to the Disneyland refurbishment calendar, it’ll be back open again by November 14th — just in time for the official holiday kickoff! While you won’t want to miss riding the attraction to see the overlay, we also strongly encourage you to check out what it looks like after dark — it’s STUNNING!

This certainly isn’t the only holiday offering around Disneyland for the season, though!
