A pair of newly announced closures is scheduled to hit Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort in October.

As confirmed by Disney, both the Saratoga Springs Paddock Pool, aquatic play area, and The Paddock Grill are closing for routine maintenance on October 13th.
The Paddock Pool features a 146-foot-long waterslide that flows from atop a water tower, a gently sloping, zero-depth entry point, a horseshoe-shaped whirlpool spa, and an aquatic play area, featuring 2 “pint-sized” waterslides. This is one of the most popular pools at the resort, so if visiting the pool is important to you on vacation, you may want to rethink your plans.

Located near the pool, The Paddock Grill offers small bites and poolside snacks like the Saratoga Burger, Cobb salad, and sandwiches, as well as a selection of alcoholic drinks.

The closures are expected to last through early December. The High Rock Spring Pool, which features its own waterslide, whirlpools, and Donald Duck-themed play area, as well as the On The Rocks Pool Bar, and the resort’s leisure pools, will all be open during this period.

The Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, which opened in 2004, sits on some of the oldest developed land in Disney World. Originally constructed as part of an abandoned community that was once planned to be part of Disney World, the site has been home to the Disney Village Resort and the Disney Institute over the years.

The AllEars team has stayed at this resort several times. We love it for its proximity to Disney Springs (it’s just a short walk away!) and its quiet, serene atmosphere. If you’re looking for a spot away from the crowded cheer groups (lookin’ at you, Disney’s All-Star Resorts), this is a great option.

Saratoga Springs Paddock Pool area — including The Paddock Grill — is closing for a several-month-long refurbishment on October 13th. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on Walt Disney World’s calendar.
