Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is running nightly now at the Magic Kingdom!

The Starlight Parade is the newest addition to the Magic Kingdom nighttime lineup, and it’s already pulling huge crowds. Think glowing floats and your favorite characters. It kicks off right on Main Street, U.S.A., winds past the Hub, and finishes up in Frontierland. The parade runs nightly at 9 PM and 11 PM, and it even debuted with crowds waiting up to 5 hours for the best parade spots.
The Starlight Parade has officially launched, and fans are loving it. The visually stunning floats, synchronized lighting, and fan-favorite characters are drawing thousands to line up along Main Street, U.S.A., and the hub well in advance of showtime. For anyone not prioritizing the parade, this creates a huge perk: significantly reduced wait times at many major attractions during and immediately after the parade. Guests have reported walking onto rides that usually require Lightning Lane or long waits earlier in the day.

Recent changes to the Park Pass system now make it simpler for Annual Passholders to visit later in the day without a reservation. This move is designed to add flexibility, especially for locals. It also means the evening crowd could swell, as more guests use this flexibility to pop in just for the parade and nighttime fun, so be sure to plan accordingly.

Between the buzz of the Starlight Parade and loosened Park Pass rules, your Magic Kingdom evenings are bound to look and feel different. Whether you’re chasing short wait times, soaking in the show, or just arriving late to dodge the heat, there’s a new kind of Disney magic happening after 8 PM. Just know what you’re walking into… or you might end up walking into a crowd.

If you’re hoping to avoid the thick of the Starlight Parade crowd while still enjoying Magic Kingdom after dark, timing and location are key. If you want to watch the parade, opt for the 11 PM as many leave after Happily Ever After is over at 10 PM. Mobile order dinner early, before 7 PM, to beat the rush, and if you’re not into the show, consider hopping in line for a popular ride right as the parade begins for a much shorter wait.
