Disney Releases NEW Interactive Mickey Popcorn Bucket in Hollywood Studios

Popcorn buckets are a big deal in Disney World because you never know what kind of fun design Disney is going to come up with next.

Mickey in Magic Kingdom!

We recently lost our minds with the Mickey Balloon Spaceship Earth popcorn bucket. The interactive Prince Charming Regal Carrousel popcorn bucket in Magic Kingdom was one of the most gorgeous things we’ve ever seen. This year’s EPCOT Festival of the Arts Figment popcorn bucket was adorable. Well, a NEW popcorn bucket has arrived in Disney World…and we have some thoughts about it.

We found this new popcorn bucket in Disney’s Hollywood Studios — he’s available at the popcorn carts. At first, this just seems like a charming Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket.

His popcorn storage is on the back of his head, which is, well, a choice. But we’ll warn you that the little compartment is hard to get open without breaking the popcorn bucket.

Where the popcorn goes

But eating popcorn out of the back of Mickey’s head is not the strangest part of this popcorn bucket. This one TALKS…it has three bits of dialogue it says in Mickey’s voice. But what makes this popcorn bucket even stranger is that it also moves its head and blinks, and we can’t decide if that’s creepy or cute.

This popcorn first released in Disneyland for the 70th Anniversary Celebration, but now you can get it at Disney World, too.

If you’re visiting Disney World and you’d like to add this popcorn bucket to your collection, you can grab it for $45 (yes, he’s a bit pricey, but you are basically getting a Mickey robot) from the popcorn carts in Hollywood Studios. We’ll admit it reminds us of the days when there was a talking Mickey character meet and greet in Magic Kingdom — remember that?
