REVIEW: We Were Totally SURPRISED By This Disney World Hotel Restaurant

Disney World is full of hundreds of different restaurants around their different parks, hotels, Disney Springs, and more.

Sometimes it’s hard to branch out from our favorites and try something new, but we’ll be honest — sometimes the restaurants we’re not expecting much from end up surprising us in the best way. We JUST had an experience like that over at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and you NEED to hear about it!

The Cove Bar can be found near the pool at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower. We were expecting it to serve up some pretty generic and decent-but-not-great options to snack on and eat for lunch by the pool, but we were VERY surprised!

There were more options both both drinks and eats here than we were expecting, and there was even a relatively large selection of non-alcoholic drinks as well!

We grabbed the Chicken Sandwich for $12.49, and immediately when we saw it, our hopes were raised. This isn’t your normal chicken sandwich, not at all. This is shredded white meat chicken with provolone cheese, red peppers, and onion on focaccia bread.

This was delicious! The flavor is phenomenal and it was almost like a very fancy Philly chicken style. It was extremely filling and those housemade chips were fantastic as well. We think it’s a great price for the size of the dish and how filling it is.

This is a great meal for your pool day to keep you fueled when you’re out in the hot sun. We especially loved how much cheese there was, and the peppers were nice and sweet and added a great additional flavor that we really would have missed if they weren’t there.

So the next time you’re looking for something a little more unique that will genuinely impress you if you’re close to the Contemporary, we think it’s worth it to come over here and give it a try.
