ATTENTION: EPCOT Is Opening LATE Tomorrow

If you’re on the way to Walt Disney World (or reading this from the resort) we have a quick reminder that may alter your plans for tomorrow: On February 23rd, EPCOT is opening an hour later than normal.

Instead of opening at its normal 9:00 AM – – with Early Entry at 8:30 AM – – the park will instead be opening at 10:00 AM with Early Entry beginning at 9:30 AM. Why is EPCOT opening late? It all has to do with a run…

The Walt Disney World Half Marathon, which begins at 5:00 AM on February 23rd, will cut through a portion of EPCOT, necessitating that park opening later than usual.

The 2025 Half Marathon is themed to Sleeping Beauty, and described by Disney as a “13.1-mile journey with Princess Aurora (a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty) as she confronts the wrath of Maleficent” where guests must watch out for cursed spindles!”

The Half Marathon is the culmination of the runDisney 2025 Princess Half Marathon Weekend, where guests “can rise up during the Disney Princess 5K. Fly high at the Disney Princess 10K. Slay the Disney Princess Half Marathon. Or run the fairest of them all by taking on the Disney Fairytale Challenge” which includes completing all three races.
