The holidays have officially landed in Disney World, and Disneyland is next on the list!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights have both begun in Disney World, and while decorations have slowly begun to appear in Disneyland, the season will really kick of with Festival of Holidays later this month, and of course, the iconic Candlelight Processional. Now, we’ve just gotten confirmation on WHEN the Candlelight Processional will take place this year!
Unlike the Candlelight Processional in Disney World, which happens multiple times throughout EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays with many different celebrity guest narrators, the Candlelight Processional in Disneyland only happens a few times each year.
This year, The Orange County Register has confirmed that the Candlelight Processional will take place on December 7th and 8th. Invited guests can attend the 5:30 or 7:45PM shows each evening. Regular guests can watch the shows as well by standing around the area, but Disneyland does very little to promote the events, as the additional viewers create traffic issues near the front entrance of the park.
If you’re planning to be in Disneyland for either date, grab those tickets or park pass reservations (for Annual Passholders) ASAP since it’s likely we’ll see them disappear pretty quickly. We absolutely love this tradition each year, but it can make things a little hectic in the park, so prepare to find a standing spot and wait HOURS ahead of time, or stay far away from the front of the park if you’re not interested in seeing the show and dealing with all the crowds!
