The hype for Test Track 3.0 is real so we’ve had our eyes and ears peeled for any updates leading up to this reimagined fan-favorite attraction at EPCOT!

This time we’ve got news about another new permit being filed for the upcoming ride. Let’s dive into more details about what this includes.
We took a look at the permit, which was filed on October 3rd, 2024, and saw that it mentioned “electrical work” by Pro Audio Video Inc., a contractor that’s worked on theme park projects in the past. This could involve work inside the attraction, whether it’s the queue or the ride itself. Unfortunately, not many details are offered in the permit to confirm what this exactly means for the ride’s construction.
Construction has been moving along fairly quickly and we think the proposed 2025 opening date seems pretty achievable with all the progress that’s been made. Permits have been filed pretty frequently and there’s active construction going on whenever we pass by the area.

Test Track 3.0 was announced back on September 9, 2023, with Test Track 2.0 permanently closing on June 17, 2024. The theme for this new reimagining involves “today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future.”

The new queue will feature six different exhibits that celebrate both the vehicles and the people behind them. There will also be brand-new show scenes highlighting the latest technological advances. This new adventure will focus on “onboard technology, customization, and personalization” while bringing it back to the simple joy of the outdoors and quality time with friends and family.

A lot of this revamped attraction’s inspiration comes from the original World of Motion attraction, with the exterior paying tribute to the original pavilion’s design.

We’re always on the lookout for any new updates pertaining to Text Track 3.0 so stay tuned with us as we bring you all the latest!
