Magic Kingdom CHANGES Splash Mountain Cast Member Costumes for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Have you heard the news yet? Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is opening SOON at Disney World!

Just recently, Disney took down the construction scrim and walls that were once bordering the ride in Magic Kingdom, and the transformation is pretty big. We’re getting even closer to opening day for Disney World’s newest ride, and we can hardly wait to take a plunge down the mountainside ourselves! But there was one other NEW thing we spotted, and we loved the new look!

Cast Member costumes at Disney World have almost become as recognizable as the rides and attractions themselves. So much so that we immediately noticed the new Cast Member costumes debuting all over Magic Kingdom.

But over in Frontierland, we noticed another important change. As you may have heard, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is opening to EVERYONE on June 28th, 2024. So far, we’ve seen a full ride through, heard the new attraction soundtrack, and even noticed a few missing characters.

But now, we need to talk about another important part of this new attraction — the Cast Members! Wanna see what they’ll be wearing when the ride opens? Let’s check it out.

For reference, this is what the OLD Splash Mountain Frontierland costumes looked like.

Since this ride is set during a period of swinging jazz and a Mardi Gras celebration, it seems fitting that these new costumes reflect a casual but celebratory vibe. They feature a yellow pageboy hat, a light blue collared shirt with a wavy print, a yellow, green, and purple rolled-up tie for a splash of Mardi Gras flair, and brown pants to complete the look.

From the smiles on their faces, it seems like Cast Members are excited to be part of the ride’s grand reopening! We also spotted a few Cast Members taking a ride before its official opening.

It seems that costuming compliments what Tiana is wearing in her new adventure outfit, too!

All of these little details are building our excitement for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure’s official opening starting on June 28th, 2024. But, if you just can’t wait that long to take a ride yourself, Disney World is offering Cast Member, Annual Passholder, Disney Vacation Club, and D23 previews much sooner, so don’t miss your chance to see it all before its official opening day if you qualify!
