Disney is FINALLY reopening a popular restaurant at the Grand Floridian Resort!

Since 2020, this cute little dining spot has been closed, but this week it will make its grand re-opening! If you’re dreaming of your wishes coming true, then you’ll need to head over to this place SOON! However, there are still other attractions closed in Disney World. We’re taking a look at what’s reopening and what remains closed this week — let’s go!
1900 Park Fare
Disney has announced that the 1900 Park Fare restaurant at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa will REOPEN on April 10th! That means starting this week, you’ll be able to dine here again!

Disney released more info for the restaurant months ahead of its reopening! It will still be a buffet, but there will be new menu items available. Disney recently opened reservations for the character meal and revealed the new full menu!

In the past, you could meet characters like Winnie the Pooh, Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and Prince Charming during what Disney called “Supercalifragilistic Breakfast,” but it has been revealed that new characters will join the meal.

This is super exciting news! But what will remain closed this week in the parks around the resort? Keep scrolling to find out!
Magic Kingdom
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Splash Mountain closed on January 23rd, 2023, and the new ride taking its place will remain closed until the summer of 2024.

Disney is re-theming the ride to give it a Princess and the Frog theme. When it reopens, it’ll be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! We recently noticed some major changes like Imagineers riding it for testing as well as some of the walls finally coming down. Disney has also shared a look at new characters coming to the ride!

We don’t know about you, but we’re getting EXCITED!
The ONE Huge Announcement Missing From Disney’s News Drop
Country Bear Jamboree
Country Bear Jamboree is currently being reimagined in Magic Kingdom! The show closed on January 27th and should reopen with the new, updated show sometime this summer.

If you want to celebrate this attraction, check out this Collectible Plush Set on Amazon!

The set features three Country Bears: Teddi Barra, Big Al, and Henry.
Tomorrowland Terrace
Tomorrowland Terrace in Magic Kingdom has only ever been open occasionally, usually during particularly busy seasons. However, it’s been a LONG time since we’ve seen this spot open.

Currently, it’s only used for Magic Kingdom dessert parties.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed on January 8th and will remain closed for a pretty long time. The ride is expected to reopen in the summer of this year, which means the refurbishment will last at least a few more months.

We don’t have an exact reopening date yet, but we’ll keep you updated when we learn more!

Voyage of the Little Mermaid
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid as we know it will NOT return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s closed now, and Disney has confirmed that this show has permanently closed to make way for an updated version.

“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure”, an all-new stage show, will replace the show in the Animation Courtyard theater in Fall 2024.

Restaurant Marrakesh
Restaurant Marrakesh is kind of closed and kind of not.

The restaurant is technically open, but just as a lounge (not as an actual restaurant). We’re still waiting for the full experience to return!

Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon was closed for several months but finally opened on March 17th, 2024! Woo hoo!

However, on that same day (March 17th) Blizzard Beach closed for refurbishments. Since it just closed, we do not know when it will reopen again, but typically the two water parks will flip-flop being open.

We’ll be watching for news of its reopening, but head over to Typhoon Lagoon for now!
