SPOTTED: Imagineers Are Test Riding Disney World's NEW Tiana's Bayou Adventure Ride

Frontierland is about to look a LOT different in Disney World!

Splash Mountain closed in 2023 to be transformed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and we’ve been watching the construction and updates ever since. On top of that, Disney is creating an all-new Country Bear Jamboree show with Disney songs, new costumes, and so much more. Now, we have an exciting update at the Princess and the Frog-themed attraction that means we’re another step closer to its grand opening!

We were checking out the latest construction and seeing if any more walls had come down near the ride when we saw Imagineers riding!

This group, looking fabulous in the orange vests, appears to be test-riding the attraction. This is common practice for new rides to make sure it’s in tip-top shape before opening to the public!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure does not currently have an opening date, however, it is set to open sometime this summer. With all of these exciting updates, we have a feeling it’ll be announced soon! The ride is also set to open in Disneyland sometime in 2024.

The story of the attraction, as Disney shares, picks up during New Orleans’ Carnival season, and Tiana is hosting a Mardi Gras Party for the people of New Orleans — the community that has supported her successful restaurant.

But Tiana realizes that the party is “missing a key ingredient” and she needs help finding it…and YOU will join Tiana to help her! Take a look at a sneak peek of the Tiana animatronic coming to the ride below.
