We are on the edge of our seats. We’re not sure if we can wait any longer!
Yes, we’re SO excited about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which is set to open sometime this summer in Magic Kingdom. We’ve kept a close eye on construction in the park and we’ve even tuned in to all of the details that Disney has shared about the ride along the way. Now, we have an exciting new update!
We were at Magic Kingdom on March 25th and noticed that the construction walls surrounding the ride have started to come DOWN!
It seems that some walls have been removed to allow room for what could soon be a flower bed or some other form of landscaping.

It’s also entirely possible that an element of the attraction (like a sign) could be put here. We’ll just have to wait and see.
The removal of these walls follows other exciting updates like ride testing! We’ve seen water be added and removed from the ride track a few times now, and Imagineers were even seen riding the attraction!
We also noticed that more railing was being built in the queue. It seems that this railing surrounds a flower bed or landscaping area.
UPDATE: On March 28th, we noticed even MORE progress! The former Splash Mountain gift shop near the Frontierland Train Station has been covered with a construction wall!
Close to the Frontierland Train Station, we noticed even MORE construction walls have come down!
The iron gates behind a large construction wall are painted a deep blue. We love it!
The Frontierland Train Station also added some new steps. Clearly, they’re a work in progress, but it’s a step in the right direction.
One of the other gift shop doors used to have scrim blocking the entrance, but now, it looks like that covering was removed. Is this a temporary change, or does Disney have more planned for this section of the ride? We’ll have to wait and see!
Currently, there are still several areas that look distinctly “Splash Mountain-y,” like this section of rock. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes out for more changes, though!
We’re keeping close tabs on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and just can’t WAIT until we get more news — especially an opening date. We’ll be sure to keep you all updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along so that you’re always in the loop and never miss a thing.

The order of Disney construction: 1) Construction walls 2) hedges on wheels. The hedges on wheels need to be a Disney pin. I am all here for hedges on wheels merch.
