Our Favorite Disney World Lunch Is ONLY $8.59 😱

When it comes to food options, Disney’s Animal Kingdom might outshine Disney World’s other three parks.

The beauty of Animal Kingdom is that you’ve got restaurants with international flare, with lots of African and Asian-inspired flavors. But you’ve also got some unique flavors in Pandora, a fictional world where one of our favorite — and cheapest — meals comes from. So let’s talk about it.

You know where we’re going with this, don’t you? It’s not like we don’t talk about Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen a lot. But the cheapest meal in Animal Kingdom is the Kids’ Cheeseburger Steamed Pod Meal, which is still plenty of enough food for an adult.

For just $8.59, you get a Steamed Cheeseburger Pod stuffed with Ground Beef, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, and Cheddar served with Vegetable Chips and a Cuties Mandarin with a small Bottled Water or Lowfat Milk. Y’all — that is a pretty decent amount of food (we usually save that Mandarin for later, by the way).

If you’ve never had a Cheeseburger Pod, it’s basically all your favorite hamburger flavors stuffed into a light and airy steamed Bao bun. It’s also one of our favorite things to eat in Disney World. Yes, our favorite thing to eat in Disney World is also one of the cheapest things to eat in Disney World. We’d call that a win-win situation.

Those vegetable chips are also really good. They’re house-made and they remind us of Kettle Chips but they’re more like root vegetable chips in flavor. They’re salted to perfection and have a nice crunch. They’re the perfect side for the Cheeseburger Pod.

This Kids’ meal is also such a good value, especially if you don’t want a LOT of food, but it’s still enough food to fill you up. The regular size of this meal might include two pods, but you have to pay extra for the bottled water (and that alone makes this a good deal because bottled water in Disney World is NOT cheap). So you’re getting a meal AND a drink for an amazing price. Plus a piece of fruit (so that, obviously, makes it healthy, too).

We order this Kids’ meal a lot in Animal Kingdom, so we know what we’re talking about. If you find yourself looking for a cheap meal in the park that isn’t boring theme park food, we think this is a great option. Plus your kids will love it, too.
