NEWS: Temporary Closure Announced for Popular EPCOT Ride

Uh oh, we’ve just learned of some unexpected EPCOT news!

Everyone’s favorite purple dragon in EPCOT just opened a new meet-and-greet location in the Imagination! Pavilion at the exit of the Journey Into Imagination with Figment ride, giving us multiple ways to see Figment. However, if you’re planning on hopping on the ride soon, you might find yourself out of luck.

Disney just announced a new temporary closure hitting EPCOT very soon! Journey Into Imagination will be closing for “routine maintenance” on October 10th, 2023.

This closure isn’t expected to last long though as Disney also stated that they anticipated the attraction would be back up and running the following day on October 11th. Disney’s website also notes in red a notice of the closure and no operating times for the anticipated closed day.

But don’t fret! Disney also mentioned that the rest of the “areas and offerings of the Imagination! Pavilion will remain open.”
