Don’t Get Stranded in EPCOT By This Transportation Change

When it comes to transportation around Disney World, using a ride-share service is a very popular option for many visitors.

Monorail

This option is ideal for many who are staying both on or off Disney property, and it can make for a more quiet, more comfortable experience since you don’t have to worry about other passengers, crowding, and noise levels while in a ride-share vehicle. If you typically depend on services like Uber and Lyft to get around Disney World, a change has been made that could drastically affect your experience if you aren’t careful!

The ride-share pickup and drop-off location at EPCOT has been moved. Previously, riders could wait for their vehicle close to the park entrance — at the edge of the parking lot. Now, Cast Members are directing guests to wait for their ride-share vehicles in the Eve Lot.

Eve Lot

The Eve Lot is a bit of a hike away from the park entrance, so keep this in mind when booking your ride. Ensure that you give yourself enough time to make it to the pickup location so that you don’t miss your ride!

Rideshare

It’s also good to keep this change in mind so you aren’t waiting in the wrong spot or getting charged for an Uber or Lyft for which you thought you were on time.

Note that during our ride past EPCOT on the monorail, we noticed that the right side of the EPCOT parking lot is currently under construction.

EPCOT construction

This may have something to do with the new ride-share location change! Disney has not shared any details on the construction project, but we’ll be sure to keep our eyes out for updates.

  1. If the construction going on in the parking lot is anything like the construction in the park, we should see whatever it is open in 8-10 years.
