NEWS: Disney World Restaurant Pushes Back Reopening Date

There are SO many construction and refurbishment projects going on in Disney World right now.

Trattoria al Forno

EPCOT is STILL undergoing a massive transformation. Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness remains closed for a refurbishment. Splash Mountain is getting re-themed to become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort is also currently closed due to construction — and it will not reopen when we thought.

Originally, Trattoria al Forno was supposed to be closed from June 11th through June 17th. During that time, a limited breakfast menu is available for those with reservations, although those guests will actually be dining next door in Flying Fish.

Construction at Trattoria al Forno

We had a reservation for June 19th to check out a newly-reopened Trattoria al Forno, but we were notified that the restaurant would not reopen in time for our reservation on that date. That means that even two days after Trattoria al Forno was supposed to reopen, it won’t actually be open yet.

We were also told that there is no exact date set for the restaurant’s reopening. A Cast Member told us this was due to construction delays. However, we were told that the restaurant should be open again by “late June.” The Cast Member we spoke with also offered to help us make an alternative reservation.

At one point, Trattoria al Forno hosted a character breakfast with characters from Tangled and The Little Mermaid. However, that dining experience has not returned to the restaurant since it reopened in 2020. We do not have any details on whether that character breakfast will be returning or not.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for an official reopening date and share that with you when we know it. So be sure to check back with AllEars again soon.
