There are a LOT of rides in Disney World, but you might just be walking past some of the BEST ONES. 😱
You can read and write reviews of the Disney World rides to help yourself and fellow Disney travelers decide what to check out. But there’s a ride over in Magic Kingdom (yes, THE Magic Kingdom) that tons of people forget about and we’re here to fix that.
If you walk into Magic Kingdom, you may see some vehicles on Main Street U.S.A. You might think they’re just there for show, as a photo op, or to add some atmospheric touches, but you’d be WRONG.
Did you know that you can actually RIDE many of these vehicles down Main Street?! Well, now you do! The attraction/ride is called “Main Street Vehicles” if you’re searching for it on the Disney World website.
It doesn’t cost anything extra, and there’s no special or additional ticket required.
Simply see what vehicles are available during your visit and ask if you can hop on for a ride. You might be able to get on a horse-drawn trolley, omnibus, or jitney as you’re taken from one end of Main Street, U.S.A. to the other.
There are so many Disney fans and guests who have no idea this option is available. Why walk down to Cinderella Castle when you can ride?
Now these rides won’t always be available. It can vary depending on the time of day and during parade times vehicles are not available. If you’re ever wondering if rides are available, you can politely ask a Cast Member!

Several years ago, we were picked as “First Family” at Magic Kingdom. Before the park opened, we got into a car driven by cast member Barbara (We’ll never forget her). She drove us around an empty park showing us the areas most people have never experienced. We met all the characters at the then Toon Town. They put us on the train and during the open ceremony we greeted all the people waiting to come into the park. Then we were given a fastpass to all the rides that day. The car drive was memorable. Driving around the park with no one around was really fun. This was back in the days when Disney World had it’s magic.
I’ve ridden them and it’s a lot of fun. It’s also nice on a hot day with tired feet. My kids especially loved if a horse was pulling the wagons.
Yeah, back when they were an “A” ticket. Particularly useful when at the end of the day you needed to back up main street toward the parking lot.
