4 NEW Reasons You’ll Want to Visit Disney World in 2023

Among fan-favorite experiences at Disney World is one that can bring in a seriously long line — character meet-and-greets!

In each of the Disney parks, guests can meet fan-favorite characters like Mickey and the gang, Disney Princesses, and even classic characters such as Chip & Dale and Cinderella’s step sisters! Fan-favorite experiences such as Ariel’s Grotto and Enchanted Tales with Belle recently returned, and we just found out that even more experiences would be coming soon.

Disney announced that more characters would be joining the array of meet-and-greet experiences this year, and they’re pretty exciting. If you’re wanting to plan out which of your favorite Disney icons you can meet soon, keep on reading!

We’ll start with a meet-and-greet experience coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. 

Moana

Guests will soon be able to meet Moana on Discovery Island just in time for Animal Kingdom’s 25th anniversary!

Of course, Moana has been known to show up in the parks for special events like the Halloween and Christmas parties, but this is the first time she will have a permanent location of her own — well, during Animal Kingdom’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, anyway. She’ll be there starting April 22nd.

Mirabel

This one is exciting for sure! We’ve seen Mirabel in parades at Disney World, but for the first time ever, we can meet her in Magic Kingdom this fall!

Fairytale Garden (where you can currently meet Merida) will be reimagined to look like Casita! Inside, you’ll be able to meet and chat with Mirabel.

Figment

If you’re a fan of Figment and all things imagination, this meet-and-greet is for you! You will soon be able to meet Figment in EPCOT.

Disney announced that the meet-and-greet experience will take place in the Imagination! pavilion later this summer.

Mickey and Minnie (In Disney100 Platinum!)

The Disney100 Celebration arrived at Disneyland in January, but it will make its debut at Disney World later this year at EPCOT.

Included in the new experiences arriving at EPCOT will be a meet-and-greet experience featuring Mickey and Minnie decked out in Disney100 platinum.
