Check Out ALL the Entertainment at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World!

It’s officially spooky season…or, as Disney would call it, the not-so-scary season!

It’s HERE!

That’s right, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has kicked off at Disney World, with events a few nights each week from now until the end of October. Throughout the party, you’ll find all kinds of unique offerings, like snacks and trick-or-treating, but one of the biggest draws is the ENTERTAINMENT. And now, we’re checking it out!

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

Multiple times throughout the night, guests can gather at the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage to watch the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, where characters from Hocus Pocus join Disney Villains to perform popular songs. Throughout August, shows are at 8:35PM, 10:45PM, and midnight.

Note that weather can delay the entertainment offerings, and one of the nights we attended Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the weather delayed the 8:35PM show. The 10:45PM show was canceled entirely, and the midnight show was delayed, but ultimately went on as scheduled.

The Sanderson Sisters!

The show is about the Sanderson Sisters as they attempt to make a Hocus Pocus Party Punch and cast a spell on everyone in the park! To help them achieve their goal, they enlist the help of some other Disney villains who make appearances in the show, like the Evil Queen, Oogie Boogie, and Dr. Facilier.

You’ll see all sorts of villains in this show!

The show features music, projections, and other special effects.

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular

What’s a party without some fireworks?! The Halloween fireworks show takes place at 10:15PM each evening, so if this is something you want to watch, make sure you plan around it!

Not-So-Spooky Spectacular

The fireworks are one of the highlights of the party, so there were a lot of people waiting for them on Main Street, U.S.A. when they started.

Crowds waiting for fireworks

If you want a great view of the show, including the projections on Cinderella Castle, we recommend watching from Main Street, U.S.A.

Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade

Oh Boo-to-You, how we missed you! The popular Halloween parade is back for the first time since 2019, and we were so excited to check it out. You can catch the parade twice a night at 9:15PM and 11:15PM.

Boo to You Parade

When we were there, the first parade was canceled due to the weather, but we were able to catch the second parade time! We watched the parade from Frontierland, which is where the parade begins, so if you want to be one of the first people to see it, we recommend watching it from here. Frontierland can also be less crowded than parade viewing spots on Main Street, U.S.A.

Boo to You Parade

During the parade, you can see all sorts of Disney characters from villains…

…to Pixar characters…

Buzz Lightyear!

…to Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph…

…and even The Bride from The Haunted Mansion.

You can also, of course, see classic Disney characters all dressed up for Halloween!

Minnie’s all dressed up!

The Headless Horseman from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow heads off (get it?) the parade, riding his horse through the streets of Magic Kingdom.

Also as part of the parade, you can catch Max Goof dressed as his favorite star: Powerline.

Powerline!

If you want to catch this experience, Max comes out dressed as Powerline with a group of 90s dancers. Note that he doesn’t go along the entire parade route, and you can only catch him if you’re watching the parade from Main Street, U.S.A.

Other Entertainment

But that’s not all! We also spotted several other fun musical acts and pop-up entertainment options throughout the night. Over in Frontierland, the Cadaver Dans (the Halloween version of the Dapper Dans barbershop quartet) were all dressed up as zombies and performing some spooky songs for guests.

There are also several dance parties during the event. There’s the ZOM-BEATZ Bash with the Zombies and Cheerleaders at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, and the Disney Junior Jam Dance Party, plus a dance party at the Tomorrowland Rockettower Plaza Stage.

Disney Junior Jam Dance Party

The Disney Junior Jam Dance Party did not feature any Disney Junior characters when we were there because of the rain.

At the Tomorrowland Dance Party, you can catch some pretty cool and unique characters, as well, like George Sanderson from Monsters, Inc. (otherwise known as the monster who had a 2319).

We have a 2319!

Over at The Haunted Mansion, you can interact with one of the ghosts who lives in the manor — Madame Renatta.

She’s hiding over by the mansion’s graveyard, but if you do find her, she’ll likely have some great stories.

Character Meet and Greets

Besides the shows, parades, and fireworks, another big draw at MNSSHP is the unique character interactions. We often find rare characters at these parties and many of the more “common” characters that are at the party, dressed up in their Halloween best! For example, we spotted Stitch dressed up as Elvis!

We also spotted Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum meeting and greeting guests over by Mad Tea Part!

And that’s all the entertainment we spotted at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! We’ll continue to update you with all of the fun from the evening, so stay tuned to AllEars. We’re excited to have this popular event BACK in Magic Kingdom!
