There Are 12 (!!) Different Magic Shots at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World!

It’s certainly been a busy night at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

We got our treat bags to use for trick-or-treating, saw lots of the limited-time snacks that are available at the event, watched the fireworks, and so much more. One of the special offerings you can check out if you visit the event is special magic shots that are included in your ticket!

Magic shots are no ordinary Disney photos. They include elements of “magic” that appear after the photo is taken, adding in characters, an alternate backdrop, or some surprising Disney element. A Disney PhotoPass photographer will tell you how to pose, and then the pictures will appear (with the “magic” included) on your My Disney Experience account later on.

There are multiple different magic shots you can experience all over Magic Kingdom during the party!

There are 12 magic shots in total that you can find during the Halloween Party, and to collect them all, you’ll have to travel from Main Street, U.S.A., all the way to Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and beyond. Look for Disney photographers and ask them about which magic shots they have available. Quincy tried out some photos in front of the castle that made her look like a witch working on her potion…

…had her holding a lovely, smiling pumpkin…

…then had her holding a flaming pumpkin!

We also got to see what happens when you’re told to look scared, only to have a smiling Mickey jack-o-lantern placed in your arms. (That’s part of the fun with magic shots — you don’t always know what you’re going to get!)

And what happens when magic shots don’t work? Well, they look sorta like this! One of the photos we took was accidentally uploaded without the “magic” element, so Breedlove was left looking terrified of…well…nothing.
