Ultimate Guide to the Best Rooms at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

When you choose to stay at a Disney World deluxe resort, you know you’re getting the poshest option available! Disney deluxe resorts have incredibly details themes, luxurious lobbies & restaurants, premium rooms, and perks like Extended Evening Hours. One of the fanciest deluxe resorts is Disney’s flagship resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

It occupies 40 acres and is styled in a turn-of-the-century Victorian theme. The red and white structure features gabled roofs and a five-story Grand Lobby, topped with a stained glass ceiling and chandeliers. The atmosphere is elegant, but in a Disney way, so as not to be overbearing. But if you have a stay booked at the Grand Floridian, which rooms are the best?

Grand Floridian Villa Rooms

Construction began back in March 2022 on the Big Pine Key building at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, where crews transformed rooms into 200 new DVC Resort Studios. The newly renovated rooms opened in June 2022 with some updated furniture and beautifully subtle Mary Poppins details.

So beautiful!

You can get 1, 2, and 3-bedroom villas, as well as deluxe studios (which sleep up to 5 adults), rooms and suites (that sleep up to 4 adults), and club-level villas (which sleep up to 6 adults).

This mirror is amazing!

Here’s a pro tip: Sago Key, Sugarloaf Key, and Big Pine Key are the buildings that are closest to the Main Building with easier access to the restaurants, shops, lounges. and bus or monorail transportation. But Boca Chica and Conch Key have some rooms that provide some great views of Cinderella Castle. So plan out your preferences to request a building that fits your vacation goals.

Gabled Rooms

At the top floor of each building are Gabled Rooms, which offer a bit higher ceilings that add some real character to the room.

These rooms also have awesome little balconies with that gable frame that really elevates these rooms to feel extra special.

Grand Floridian Rooms That Overlook Magic Kingdom

The one thing we love about Grand Floridian is that it’s VERY close to Magic Kingdom.  Seriously, you can take a boat, a monorail or even WALK directly to Magic Kingdom. That means you can get rooms that look out over Magic Kingdom — and you know what that means, right? That means you can watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom from the comfort of your room!

A room with a view!

Here’s another pro tip: rooms in Boca Chica 8413, 8513, 8421, and 8521 offer some great views of Space Mountain and Cinderella Castle.

If you’re visiting during the holidays, the Main Building provides Gingerbread aromatherapy at no additional cost!
