Disney World’s 50th anniversary is tomorrow, and Disney just keeps giving us more and more exciting news!
The opening date for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was just revealed, new interactive MagicBands are coming, and we now know that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open in 2022. But, Disney isn’t done, because they just released a first look at some of the renovations coming to a very famous Disney hotel.
Disney is giving us a first look at the new Disney Vacation Club villas coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! These are just renderings of the proposed rooms.
This expansion adds about 200 resort studios to the hotel — a Disney Vacation Club room type unique to The Villas at the Grand Floridian. The existing villas will also be enhanced.
The proposed new resort studios feature two queen-size beds and a day bed with room for up to five guests.
The deluxe studios at the resort can also accommodate up to five guests and will have a queen-size bed, a pull-down queen-size bed that tucks away into the wall, and a pull-down bunk-size bed.
Also coming are spacious one- and two-bedroom villas that will offer large living areas featuring a new pull-down queen-size bed along with a pull-down bunk-size bed that folds away to be hidden beneath the media center.
Full kitchens will be in the one- and two-bedroom villas as well as modern appliances, a farmhouse sink, and a washer and dryer.
Here’s a look at the new proposed bathroom for the one-bedroom villas…
…and the bedroom!
The look for the bedrooms in the two-bedroom villas is slightly different.
Larger groups can enjoy the comfort of the three-bedroom grand villa. These villas sleep up to 12 guests, with two bedrooms that include two queen-size beds each, along with a main bedroom that has a king-size bed.
Three-bedroom grand villas also have a dining area…
…and large living area.
Accents will be added to the rooms that include Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Victorian-themed silhouettes and other artwork featuring Mary Poppins and Dumbo. Here’s a look at the proposed bathroom:
The rooms will be available starting in the summer of 2022. We can’t wait to see what they look like in person! Stay tuned to All Ears for more Disney World resort news and updates.
