As the situation with COVID-19 continues to change and develop, AllEars will be bringing you the latest relevant news that could affect a theme park visit.
There have been a lot of changes on Disney Cruise Line since the global pandemic began.

Cruises were out of commission altogether for a while, then they came back with policies like testing and vaccination requirements. Those policies have changed over the past several months. And now, the COVID-19 refund policy is changing for Disney Cruise Line.
Disney Cruise Line has updated their COVID-19 policy. Now, for sailings booked on or after December 9th, 2022, guests who test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of their sail date can receive a refund in their original form of payment. This is without Disney-imposed cancellation fees.
Alternatively, guests can also apply their cruise fare toward a future sail date if they would rather do that instead of receive a refund.

The change here is that for guests who booked their cruise BEFORE December 9th who have qualifying COVID-19-related health concerns can receive a refund if it’s within 14 days of their sailing.
They can receive a refund in their original form of payment without Disney-imposed cancellation fees, or apply their cruise far toward a future cruise.

Qualifying COVID-19-related health concerns include guests who:
- Have symptoms of COVID-19
- Have a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or great
- Have had known exposure to a person with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days
- Have tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of sail date
So, the length of time is changing from 14 days to 10 days for people who booked their cruises on or after December 9th, 2022.

But, do note that Disney’s website does not currently address what the policy is if a person has other “COVID-19-related health concerns” for cruises booked on or after December 9th, 2022. When in doubt, reach out to Disney Cruise Line to get help for your specific situation.

Also note that if an offer was used to book the original sail date, it might not be available/applicable for the new sail date you choose. And, you can’t change your reservation back to the original sail date after taking advantage of the refund policy.
