Since resuming sailings, Disney Cruise Line has seen a number of changes to its health and safety protocols. In July 2022, the CDC ended its COVID-19 cruise program, and a number of changes have been made since then. In August, Disney Cruise Line announced that vaccinated guests would no longer need to provide negative COVID-19 tests.
In September, Disney Cruise Line announced that vaccinations would no longer be required for guests, although guests without proof of vaccination were still required to provide a negative COVID-19 test. Now, there’s a new update for Disney Cruise guests.
Beginning on November 14th, 2022 for all sailings that depart from the U.S., Disney Cruise Line guests — regardless of their vaccination status — will no longer have to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding a ship.
Guests who are booked on sailings leaving the U.S. from November 14th, 2022 through January 31st, can change or cancel their trip by November 13th without any Disney-imposed cancelation fees.
Note, however, that Disney Cruise Line still highly recommends that guests be fully vaccinated and still suggests that unvaccinated guests take a COVID-19 test two days before their sailing.
We recommend checking the Disney Cruise Line website often, even after you’ve booked your trip. Policies can and do change so you’ll want to make sure you’ve looked for the latest updates ahead of your trip.
