Earlier today, Orlando Airport shared that they were keeping a close eye on the storm and would provide updates as they learned more.

Now, the Orlando Airport has shared that they will be ceasing operations tomorrow starting at 4PM.

Currently, no date has been given for when flights will resume, though the airport shared that they will do so when “circumstances permit.”

Disney World has also announced a few closures, with Typhoon Lagoon and the mini golf spots set to be closed on Wednesday, November 9th. Previously Disney had shared that Fort Wilderness and several other hotel areas would be closing, but they rescinded these closures and, as of now, they will all be operating as normal. However, Park Passes still remain sold out for November 10th to November 11th, as does hotel availability.

Earlier this year, we saw Orlando Airport close for a few days due to Hurricane Ian. Additionally, we saw Disney World theme parks shut down for Hurricane Ian, and we could see the same happen if Tropical Storm Nicole poses a significant threat to guest and employee safety.
