Did you know that Disney World ticket prices are different depending on the date?

Starting at a base rate of $109 for a standard, one-day theme park ticket, prices range as high as $159 during peak times like the holiday season. We’ve already talked about the cheapest times to visit Disney World in 2022 – but what about the days of the week? Is there a trend or does it all end up pretty much the same? Well, we figured it out (there was some math involved), so find out which days of the week are the most budget-friendly to visit.
We took a look at Disney World’s standard, one-day ticket prices (for adults) from September 30th, 2022 to October 31st, 2023, coming to the conclusion that there are definitely days of the week that tend to be cheaper than others. Let’s dive in!

It’s not a huge surprise that the weekend days come out as the most expensive day of the week since they also tend to be more crowded. Saturday is the most expensive, with Sunday as the next most expensive, and then Friday. If you’re looking to save money on tickets, weekends are not the best time to plan your trip.

Now let’s get into the cheapest days of the week! We start out with Monday at number four, Thursday is the third cheapest day of the week, and Wednesday is the second cheapest day of the week.

And finally, Tuesday is the CHEAPEST day of the week to visit Disney World! And now that we’re here, let’s discuss the data.

We calculated the average cost of a ticket for each day of the week as well as the lowest and highest potential ticket prices. The average cost of a ticket on Tuesday and Wednesday is $138, with the overall total of Tuesday ticket prices adding up to the smallest amount. Wednesday was only a few dollars total behind Tuesday, so they’re basically tied.
Thursday is only a dollar average behind Tuesday and Wednesday, so it’s a pretty safe bet that booking a Disney World trip from Tuesday to Thursday should get you the cheapest possible tickets during most dates.

Interestingly, you can find tickets at the base rate of $109 on every weekday at some point during the year (even Friday!), so we recommend checking out Disney’s calendar if you want to take advantage of those lower prices.

If you’re planning a 5-night trip and want to save money, we’d recommend visiting Monday-Friday, but a 4-night trip of Monday-Thursday would be an ideal way to make the most of your ticket budget.
So there you have it! If you want to save money on Disney World tickets, try to book your visit during weekdays, especially Monday to Thursday. And if you have to plan for a weekend, make sure you check Disney’s calendar before booking.

We paid full price for Magic Kingdom passes on Tuesday 10/11 and Friday 10/14 (3 each day) only to be ordered out of the park by 6 pm so Disney can double-book and charge others to enter the park at each night for Halloween party. We paid for full days and had dinner reservations each night and were escorted out of the park each night after dinner. We had no idea the Halloween party existed until Tuesday night when we were told (at first) we could not enter the park. We were escorted to and from dinner. I am asking for refunds. We will see how it goes.
