A Halloween Scavenger Hunt is Coming to EPCOT This Year

It may only be August, but Halloween is right around the corner!

Halloween Decorations in Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom starts next month, and Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash begins soon, too. And we now know that EPCOT will be getting in on the Halloween fun with a spooky scavenger hunt around the park!

Beginning on September 29th, guests at EPCOT will be able to take part in Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit! This game is a scavenger hunt around EPCOT that will take you on the search for pumpkins decorated and painted to look like Disney characters, just like the Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit that takes place in Disneyland!

To play, you’ll just need to head to one of the merchandise locations that sells the map (these locations will include Creations Shop, Port of Entry, and World Traveler) and buy your game board and stickers! Then you’ll go around the park finding each of the decorated pumpkins, placing the corresponding sticker on the game board as you go. When you’re finished, you’ll return your game board to Disney Traders at the International Gateway to redeem your prize. You can also redeem your prize if you didn’t complete the game or don’t play, as long as you’ve purchased your game board.

Disney did not share what the prizes would be for playing the game. Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit will be available from September 29th to October 31st or while supplies last.

And Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit isn’t the only game you can play at EPCOT! The Halloween scavenger hunt corresponds with the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, where guests will be able to participate in Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak!

Remy’s Hide and Squeak has a similar premise to Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit where guests purchase a map and search World Showcase for hidden Remy figures. When you finish, you can redeem your map for a prize!

  1. Just changed our itinerary to make sure we will be playing this game. Epcot is our top choice for WDW. Can’t wait to play in September. Plus we will be playing on the day it starts. 2 months until we are there.

  2. 100% we will be playing Plutos Pumpkin Hunt! We started these hunts a few years ago when the grandchildren were little; they loved finding character eggs at Easter. Even though we are older now, it’s fun looking for Spike the Bee, Figment, Ratatouille and now Pluto! Keep the scavenger hunts going! They are great. The prizes are nice too
