Things are slowly but surely returning to Disney World, and some of them are returning in new ways, like the reimagined ‘Finding Nemo’ show in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

‘Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!’ recently opened in Animal Kingdom, taking the place of ‘Finding Nemo: The Musical.’ The show typically has six showtimes per day, but recently, we noticed something was a little different.
On June 14th, the 10:30AM and 4:30PM performances of the show were canceled, so guests were only able to catch the show at 11:30AM, 12:30PM, 2:30PM, or 3:30PM. No details were shared by Disney on why the performances were canceled.

And, it seems that the show still isn’t up and running in full force. On June 17th, more performances were canceled leaving guests only three opportunities to see the show at 11:30AM, 12:30PM, 2:30PM, and 3:30PM.
Usually, there are six total performances in a day with showtimes at 10:30AM, 11;30AM, 12:30PM, 2:30PM, 3:30PM, and 4:30PM — so, this is a pretty big cut in the number of times it takes place during the day.

We also noticed that there are less showtimes through June 27th. So until June 28th, you’ll be able to catch the show at 12:30PM, 2:30PM, and 3:30PM.

The new show is a condensed version of its predecessor that features some new technology and even includes some of the fan-favorite songs from the original musical (anybody else fans of “In The Big Blue World”?). The new tech makes the show so much brighter and more colorful and really adds to the experience.

If you’re wanting to catch this show, you are able to reserve a Lightning Lane for it through regular Genie+, and you are also able to wait in a standby line for it, as well. Just make sure to check the showtimes on the My Disney Experience app before you head over to the theater.

Have you seen the new ‘Finding Nemo’ show? Let us know in the comments!
I love Finding Nemo and see it every time I am at AK. I am so glad they shortened the production so that I could try to get on Avatar.
Disney should charge extra for these Broadway type offerings and limit the number of shows to give the cast members a break. They should have a souvenir shop at the exit of the building
