If you’ve been to Disney World, you’ve likely dined at many of Disney’s quick service locations.

There are PLENTY of quick service spots, too, offering everything from typical theme park food (pizza, hot dogs, etc.) to more unique options like spring rolls and cheeseburger pods. But when we asked you what would make Disney’s quick-service better, you told us!
We asked YOU “What would make Disney’s quick-service better?” Here’s what you said!
More Seating
Of all the comments we received on this question, many of you want more seating at quick-service locations.
Jillian said, “More seating! I often have to stand to eat or circle round and round looking for a table.”

Another reader went so far as to suggest seating be limited just to paying customers of each quick-service restaurant. Nadine said, “Seating for customers only always looking for a place to eat but seats are filled with families that brought their own lunch or are saving the seats for 12 of their family members. Indoor and outdoor alike.”
Brandie said, “More seating. Especially indoor seating and/or seating with fans and umbrellas. Epcot could use a lot of little high top tables with umbrellas and chairs.”

To better your chances of finding seating for quick-service meals on more crowded days, choose larger locations — such as Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT or ABC Commissary in Hollywood Studios.
And don’t forget that some quick-service locations may have “hidden,” less crowded seating areas — like the upstairs seating at Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom.

More Food Variety
Many of you also mentioned that you would prefer more food variety at each quick-service location. Some even would like to see more healthy options.
Maura said, “More variety of healthy food options. And definitely more seating.” (There’s that seating issue coming up again.)

Ed suggested, “In general, quality ingredients and unique offerings at each location.”
Some of you pointed out specific locations. Randy said, “I think the quick services at MK are terrible. Everyone sells a hamburger and hotdog. Then they top it with BBQ and sell it for $14 and want be to think it’s magical. It’s not. I don’t mind paying for quality ingredients. And then the seating is always an issue.”

If you’re trying to eat on the healthier side while you are at Disney World, remember that fresh fruit and veggies are available at select stands in every park, and some quick service locations have “grab and go” sections with salads, boiled eggs, and fruit and cheese plates.
Also take a look at the kid’s menu! You can order a kid’s meal at Disney World quick-service locations, and the Disney Check meals (signified with a checkmark on menu boards) feature vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.

Better Allergy-Friendly Options
Those with food allergies feel there’s a lot Disney can do to improve its allergy-friendly menu items.
Some of you think it’s too difficult to order allergy-friendly items. Beth said, “Make it easier to order for food allergies.”

Another reader mentioned that Cast Members might not be as trained on allergens as they should be. Emily said, “Better allergen training. I had the worst reaction at Regal Eagle.”
Laurie had a list: “Allergies and vegan. Reduce number of ingredients in food. Better food.”

The My Disney Experience App is a great tool to use for determining which allergy-friendly items are available at quick-service restaurants. The menus have allergy-friendly sections for allergies such as gluten/wheat, egg, fish/shellfish, milk, peanut/tree nut, and soy.

Improve Mobile Ordering
Mobile ordering has become the norm for many Disney counter-service locations, but guests still think there’s room for improvement. Some think it should be standard at more locations.
Ana said, “Have mobile ordering available to more locations.”
Some of you were more concerned that getting your food through mobile order took too long. Ally said, “Do something about the long pick up lines for mobile ordering. By the time you get your food it’s cold.”

One of the key issues many guests have is with the My Disney Experience app, mainly its limitations when using mobile ordering. Beth said, “Allow storing gift cards on mobile order.”
Jenna said, “I love mobile order but would like more ability to customize. Also more options without bread rice or pasta, I want meat and veggies!”

We hear you loud and clear, and although we can’t convince Disney to put in more seating and change their menus, we can offer some helpful tips for Mobile Ordering. Our best advice is to place your mobile orders early during hours that aren’t necessarily busy (when it’s not lunch or dinner time) — you can easily set the time to pick it up when you’d like and then just go about your day until it’s time to eat.

How would you change quick service dining in Disney World? Let us know in the comments!
It seems as though the quick service food at Disneyland is far superior to Disney World. I’m confused as to why that cannot be duplicated here.
I love Connections Cafe. There is seating for everyone. Good cold water to refill bottles. It’s clean, neat and air conditioned. A welcome spot for weary feet . Food is very good; that is one big burger. We split it. Fries are great.. My food suggestion is-put all Hoop De Doo menu items at Connections Cafe. Fried chicken. Mashed potatoes. Cornbread. Strawberry shortcake. Yum. I can dream, can’t I? Another unrelated thought- why does Magic Kingdom water taste so so bad?
