We just got updates on the new attractions and offerings coming to World Celebration, including a new festival area and a designated character meet and greet space. The middle of the park is about to look entirely different once construction is complete, and if you’re stopping by at night, there will be some special features to check out!

Today, Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley shared some of the concept art photos on Instagram, along with some new details on what we can expect in World Celebration. First of all, if you loved the old fiber optic designs in the ground in Future World, don’t worry — they’re coming back in a unique and updated way!

According to Riddley, the new illuminated paving designs “pay homage to EPCOT’s past, while incorporating updated technology and controllability to deliver some fun new lighting capabilities.”

In addition to the special lighting, Disney is creating more space for “large-scale décor, topiaries, lighting, and artistic elements that mark the seasons.” These features, along with the lighting of the area, will make for a more in-the-round experience when Spaceship Earth lights up at night.

And finally, Riddley shared more details on the newly announced CommuniCore Plaza. This area will be “purpose-built with flexibility to host a variety of entertainment and performance activations.” The concept art depicts the smaller of two stages — here guests can witness performances on multiple sides, and they’ll get a chance to sit and relax in a nearby garden space while watching.
