We need a little Christmas — right this very minute! Luckily, the holiday season has arrived in Disney World, so now’s the time to start planning.Â
There are lots of things you can do in Disney World for the holiday season. Whether you’re looking for some festive fun in the parks or around the resorts, there’s plenty to see and do!Â
Let’s jingle some bells and take a look at everything you can do for the holidays in Disney World this year!Â
See Santa
Santa traveled all the way from the North Pole to visit Disney World, and he’s ready for some socially distanced meet and greets. It’s a Christmas miracle!
There’s plenty of holiday cheer to go around — you can visit Santa in several places throughout Disney World!Â
Check out the Fort Wilderness Christmas decorationsÂ
Over at Fort Wilderness, they don’t deck the halls, but they do deck the campsites with tons of holiday decorations!Â
Rent a golf cart and drive around the resort at night to check out all the fun Christmas displays!
Admire the Disney-inspired gingerbread housesÂ
Speaking of Disney Resorts, visit the Deluxe Resorts around Disney World to take a look at some incredible handmade gingerbread displays!
You can find these incredible gingerbread houses at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort. They’re definitely worth a visit!
Visit the Christmas Tree TrailÂ
Every year, the creative Disney Imagineering team decorates themed Christmas trees in Disney Springs as part of the Christmas Tree Trail!Â
On the tree trail, you will find Christmas trees themed after some of your favorite Disney movies, characters, and attractions. Even the spooky Haunted Mansion has a themed Christmas tree!
Take a walk through EPCOT with the cookie stroll
Cookies and winter go together like peanut butter and jelly! There’s a reason people leave cookies out for Santa, after all! Â
The EPCOT World Showcase’s annual cookie stroll is back for 2021, so get ready to sample some sweet treats this season!Â
Taste some holiday treats at the Festival of the HolidaysÂ
EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays is full of unique foods, drinks, and desserts made just for the holiday season!Â
The best part is that you can try foods inspired by holidays all around the world!
Watch the Candlelight ProcessionalÂ
While we’re on the subject of EPCOT, we highly recommend taking some time to watch the Candlelight Processional in the World Showcase.Â
The show features special appearances by celebrity narrators who are joined by a choir to tell guests about the story of Christmas.
Stick around in the Magic Kingdom for Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours
While Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is still not back yet, there’s a new after-hours event coming to the Magic Kingdom this year, and it features all our favorite parts of the old Christmas Party!Â
The holiday event features complimentary treats and drinks, a parade, music, fireworks, and more!
Watch the Sunset Seasons Greetings show in Disney’s Hollywood StudiosÂ
The Sunset Seasons Greetings show takes place in front of the Tower of Terror attraction and includes some fun holiday projections sure to put you in the holiday spirit!Â
As you can see, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the holidays in Disney World this year! Now that the decorations are on display, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Be sure to stay tuned for more Disney tips, tricks, and news!
