Disney World is almost always in a state of change, whether it’s a refurbishment on an attraction, a brand new ride or restaurant, or more.

But, as the parks evolve, that sometimes means that something needs to be completely removed — and, that’s the case for Primeval Whirl in DinoLand, U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We’ve been watching as Disney demolishes the former ride piece by piece, and now we’re bringing you another update!
We stopped by this morning and noticed that the entire attraction has been completely removed leaving a giant open space in the area.

Last week, the last of the track had been removed, but now even the queue’s entrance (which was the only remaining piece) is gone.

Construction walls still surround the area, but the view looks pretty different now!

Disney has not yet shared what could be replacing the attraction, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for updates now that everything is down. And, in the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for more of the latest Disney news!

I always loved this ride! Kind of scary to find that it killed a few people…
Sorry, not very sad to see this ride go. It was never very comfortable to ride and a real neck jerker for me. Never could figure out what made it different from other rides, but didn’t take me but a couple of times to tell the kids they could ride on their own while I sat this one out.
