New Shopping Experiences Coming to Disney World for the 50th Anniversary

We’re a little over a week away from the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!

We’ll be celebrating on October 1st with new fireworks, new entertainment, special decorations, and so much more. And now, we know that there are going to be special shopping experiences to check out as well!

We recently got a peek at the new Vault Collection of merchandise coming soon to Walt Disney World, but now we have more details about where we’ll find these exclusive new items!

First of all, the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs will be receiving a special overlay specifically for the new Vault Collection. Disney shared that the new look will include “a nostalgic museum-like display that invites shoppers to learn about original Walt Disney World Resort attractions and resorts.” Guests will be able to experience photo ops with vintage props, including carousel horses from the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and replicas of the Orange Bird and the Tiki sculptures.

The displays will also take guests into the history of the Walt Disney World Resort, sharing details of things like The Preview Center, original attractions, and the opening-year resorts.

Another shopping experience is coming over at Magic Kingdom Park, where you can step into the reimagined Main Street Cinema with a retro overlay. Disney notes that “it will be filled with vintage photos, colors, and details including photo-worthy backdrops and props inspired by beloved attractions from Walt Disney World Resort history.”
