HUGE CLUE About Changes Coming to Cinderella Castle

Disney World’s 18-month, 50th anniversary celebration has come and gone.

Cinderella Castle

Merchandise went on sale, the controversial Harmonious barges have started coming down, and even the Orlando International Airport said goodbye to its 50th decor. But some of the biggest celebration additions in the parks have yet to be removed.  In Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Castle still has a lot of its 50th decor. While the 50th emblem has been removed, all of the giant gemstones and golden ribbons are still in place. But we have Disney World news — all of that might be about to change soon!

Earlier this week, we noticed that the water in the moat around Cinderella was being prepped for draining. Today, we saw some significant progress!

Draining the moat!

You may remember that the moat has been drained a few times — as it was in preparation for the 50th anniversary additions! It’s possible that Disney is draining the moat this time to remove some of the celebratory decor.

You can see that around the castle, most of the water is completely gone!

Pretty empty!

Disney still hasn’t shared what they have planned for the castle, what will happen to the pink paint job, or if there will be any new 100th anniversary additions. It might be a much smaller change, but we will keep you updated! Stay tuned to AllEars for more!
