Even though it’s still more than 6 months away, we’re already preparing ourselves for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!

We can’t wait to see Mickey and Minnie in their special outfits, check out all the decorated park icons, and just celebrate the occasion! One part of the celebrations that were announced already is a makeover for Cinderella Castle. We’ve already seen some of the decorations go into place, but today we noticed some new progress!

When we walked by Cinderella Castle this morning, we stopped to take some photos of the progress. Some of the pieces adorning the castle had already been there, like this one…

We love those colors!

…but some were brand-new! These fancy drapes go along with the iridescent color scheme for the anniversary celebrations.

More decor getting added.

They also match the newly repainted Cinderella Castle impeccably. That blue and gold combination looks so regal!

The castle is going to look great!

Even though only a few pieces are in place so far, we already know that this makeover is going to be spectacular. We can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s all done.

We can’t wait to see it all finished.

Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest updates on this project. We’re also keeping our ears to the ground for any more 50th Anniversary news, so stick around for any details!

  1. That one between the turrets looks remarkably like a crucifix. Perfect for Lent but beyond…? But I do like the royal blue and gold. Happy Anniversary, Disney World: (Walt would be aghast at what has become of his dream.)
