A trip to Disney can definitely be filled with lots of hustle and bustle.
There’s so much to see and do, and it can be really easy to schedule your day down to the minute filled with rides, eats, and experiences. All that running around can be tiring, and sometimes you just need a break! So, we’re breaking it down, park by park, to share with you some slow-moving Disney rides for when you need to relax a little bit!
Magic Kingdom
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
The beloved PeopleMover has been closed for refurbishment for quite some time now, and it’s expected to remain closed through January 30th. This ride brings you all around Tomorrowland on a relaxing journey that’s still pretty entertaining.
This futuristic trip will definitely give you a moment to take a breather.
“it’s a small world”
Did you even visit Disney World if you didn’t get the song from “it’s a small world” stuck in your head at least once? This relaxing boat ride around the world also gives you the chance to experience one of Disney’s most iconic attractions.
Although the catchy tune might follow you around for the rest of the day, you’ll have a little time for relaxation!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Na’vi River Journey
In Pandora — The World of Avatar, you can travel down a winding river into a bioluminescent rainforest on Na’vi River Journey.
The enchanting melodies sung by the Shaman of Songs will likely make you forget you’re in a busy theme park.
Rafiki’s Wildlife Express Train
Take a ride over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where you’ll be met with a plethora of laidback activities. You can pet some goats at the Affection Section, or learn to draw some of your fave Disney characters at The Animation Experience at Conservation Station.
Your drawing from The Animation Experience can even serve as a unique and free souvenir!
EPCOT
Living with the Land
Living with the Land is a really slow-paced boat ride that can be found in the Land Pavilion. You’ll ride through Disney’s greenhouses to see some real produce growing!
This ride is a great place to spot hidden Mickeys, AND some of the fruits and veggies grown here are used at restaurants like Sunshine Seasons and Garden Grill.
Spaceship Earth
You can go on a journey through time on Spaceship Earth, and you might even learn something while you’re at it. Scenes in this attraction feature historic moments that showcase the progression of communication and technology.
Plus, this attraction is pretty lengthy, lasting sixteen minutes. That’ll definitely give you a break from your busy day.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Muppet*Vision 3D
Hollywood Studios boasts lots of entertaining shows. If you’re looking to kick back and relax in some air conditioning, you’re in luck. Muppet*Vision 3D will provide laughs, special effects, and even some surprises.
Take a break with The Muppets and recharge!
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy
Join the Radiator Springs gang over at Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy near Sunset Boulevard. The attraction’s huge wraparound screen will make you feel like you’re racing right along with Lightning!
This way, you can race around without actually racing around.

Carousel of Progress is my go to in Magic Kingdom. AC, no crowds and a comfortable seat! Did it twice last time we were there.
