After actor Chadwick Boseman tragically passed away earlier this year, we’ve seen so many heartfelt tributes in honor of the actor, who portrayed the iconic superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
ABC aired the Chadwick Boseman: A Tribute for a King special, which is also available on Disney+. And there’s an artwork installation at Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort, that honors the actor’s legacy to the Marvel universe.
Yesterday, Walt Disney Executive Chairman Bob Iger tweeted to fans to watch Black Panther on Disney+ that night for another special tribute to the actor. Marvel Studios has now shared a video of that tribute, which changed the film’s opening sequence to focus on Boseman.

The tributes are sure to continue, even as Disney decides how best to proceed with Black Panther 2 in Boseman’s absence. The new film reportedly will begin production in 2021. Whatever Disney decides, it’s likely that Boseman — and his character — will get another tribute during that movie. Wakanda Forever.
