Earlier this year, it was announced that production on Black Panther 2 had been delayed due to the tragic passing of star Chadwick Boseman.

Today, it’s being reported that the sequel now has plans to beginning filming next year.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Black Panther 2 will begin filming in July 2021, with sources revealing to the publication that the sequel will start filming ” in Atlanta in July and last for upwards of six months.”

Additionally, the Hollywood Reporter has reported that actor Tenoch Huerta is in talks for a role as an antagonist, with Black Panther stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett all expected to return.

At this time, Marvel has not revealed what their plans are on how to proceed with the sequel in light of Boseman’s passing.
