Walt Disney World is known for its delicious snacks, including guest favorites such as Dole Whip, Popcorn, Turkey Legs, and Mickey Pretzels. But what about all of the other, lesser-known options? With so many snacks to choose from, it’s no wonder that some great ones may have fallen under your radar.
Let’s take a look at what we consider nine underrated snacks at Magic Kingdom Park.
Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich
While a Mickey Kitchen Sink Sundae might be a go-to favorite, we suggest stopping by the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A., for an ice cream treat off the beaten path.
Here you’ll find the underrated Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich, which consists of two freshly made chocolate chip cookies with your choice of hand-scooped ice cream in between.
Ice cream options include classic flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Guests can also find no sugar added, fat-free, plant-based, and non-dairy options. This snack is great for all of Mickey’s special guests!
Golden Oak Outpost Chili-Cheese Waffle Fries
Golden Oak Outpost is an Old West-style food cart located in Frontierland. This cart has a straightforward menu of chicken breast nuggets, waffle fries, and onion rings.
In that limited menu, there is one stand-out, underrated item: Chili-Cheese Waffle Fries. This snack consists of crunchy, delicious waffle fries smothered in cheese and chili sauce. They are finger-lickin’ good!
Red Velvet Mickey Cake Pop
Follow your nose down Main Street, U.S.A., for the next sweet treat on our list. The Main Street Confectionery is home to a diverse multitude of delectable delights, yet the Red Velvet Mickey Cake Pop doesn’t get the fanfare it deserves.
When chocolate and red velvet unite, it’s a dream come true, so sink your sweet tooth into this red velvet cake that’s covered in milk chocolate with two marshmallows for Mickey’s ears.
Peter Pan Float
You can find your fairy tale ending with the Peter Pan Float at Storybook Treats. The Peter Pan Float is similar to the DOLE Whip float, except it’s the “lime” version — and way cuter!
This float, crafted with DOLE Whip Lime Soft-serve, Sprite, and a Chocolate Feather, is delicious. It’s a unique combination of sweet and tart, and we love the effervescence of the Sprite! The Peter Pan Float is a wonderfully refreshing “pick me up” on a hot Florida day!
Snacks at The Friar’s Nook
We are traveling to The Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland for the next tasty treats on our list. If you arrive early enough, you’ll get to try their Cinnamon-Sugar Doughnuts. These yummy little doughnut holes covered in cinnamon sugar make for a sweet, tasty, and little known way to start a day at the Magic Kingdom.
Come back later in the day to feast upon the Loaded Buffalo Chicken Tots. These tater tots are covered with shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and blue cheese, and might just become a new go-to favorite for you! (If Buffalo Tots aren’t on the menu, any of their loaded tots are a crowd-pleaser!)
Egg Roll Wagon
The Adventureland Egg Roll Wagon is another fantastic yet little-known spot for a savory snack. Our favorite, by far, is the Cheeseburger Spring Roll.
Sink your teeth into these golden fried wraps filled with ground beef and melted cheese. Just be sure to come early, as only a limited amount are prepared each day, so when they’re gone, they’re gone!
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
You’ve almost certainly indulged in the Pineapple Dole Whip at Adventureland’s Aloha Isle Refreshments, as it seems to be everyone’s favorite sweet treat there.
However, you’re missing out if you haven’t tried the Pineapple Upside Down Cake. This piece of pineapple laden cake is topped off with maraschino cherries and your choice of Pineapple or Vanilla Dole Whip. It’s a “can’t miss” while visiting Magic Kingdom Park!
Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake
Next on our list is the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake from Liberty Tree Tavern — one of the most underrated snacks because you have to make a reservation to eat it!
Although this one can be ordered from the a la carte menu at Liberty Tree Tavern, we recommend settling in for an all-you-care-to-enjoy smorgasbord with the Patriot Platter. The platter features the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake for dessert, so save room for at least one, two, or three servings — we won’t judge!
This vanilla toffee cake, with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, is so yummy you might want to try making it yourself. Lucky for you, we have the recipe for Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake right here on AllEars.

Cheshire Cat Tale
Stop on by the Cheshire Cafe in Fantasyland for a tasty treat straight out of Wonderland.
The Cheshire Cat Tale is a braided Danish twisted with chocolate sauce, laden with chocolate chips, and drizzled with pink and purple icing. It will surely put a smile on your face.
Snacks at Sleepy Hollow
More lesser-known tasty treats await at Liberty Square’s Sleepy Hollow. If you’re in the mood for something on the savory side of sweet, try out the Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich.
This “sandwich” consists of crispy chicken and sweet yet spicy sauce, tucked in a golden brown and fluffy waffle. It’s served with house-made chips, so it’s sizable enough to satisfy a substantial snack craving.
If you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, try out the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich. This seasonal fruit loaded waffle comes complete with Nutella, everyone’s favorite chocolate-hazelnut spread!

Snacks at Gaston’s Tavern
Be sure to say “bonjour!” as you enter Gaston’s Tavern for some sweet snacking.
One of our favorite underrated treats here is the gooey and delicious Warm Cinnamon Roll, topped with vanilla icing.
Finish it off with LeFou’s Brew, a delicious delight of frozen apple juice, toasted marshmallow, and passion fruit-mango foam. We particularly enjoy having this frozen drink, which you can purchase in a souvenir stein, on a hot day!
